Intelligent advice

Iain Macleod has been advising cities bidding for sports events, primarily the Olympic Games and Olympic Winter Games since 1997. He works by gathering intelligence, providing analysis and consulting on international relations and bid strategy.

Sports communications

We assist sports organisations to benefit from the diverse opportunities offered by social media, the internet, TV, radio and print. Small organisations can, with insight and planning, connect with the mass media and their fan bases without large marketing budgets.

London 2012

As an example, Iain produced two reports that were said to have had a significant role in persuading the then British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, to push ahead with the successful London 2012 Olympic bid.

World Taekwondo Federation

We worked with the World Taekwondo Federation to ensure the sport made positive headlines in the run-up to the World Championships. Together we identified a number of newsworthy items, including the enlightened decision to allow women practitioners to wear the hijab in competition. As a result, news items were carried by many news organisations worldwide including the Associated Press.
